About us
WHO WE ARE?
“Safe Hands Association delivers focused, measurable impact in maternal and child health, while simultaneously addressing critical community needs in adolescent health, hygiene, and empowerment ensuring sustainable, holistic development. By supporting Safe Hands, donors and individuals contribute to multi-sectoral impact while trusting in an organization with proven expertise and accountability.”
In many underserved communities, the health and well-being of women, children, and adolescents remain critically threatened by preventable conditions. Maternal and child mortality rates are still unacceptably high due to limited access to skilled care, poor nutrition, and inadequate health information. Adolescents face heightened risks from early pregnancies, unsafe abortions, sexually transmitted infections, and lack of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education, leaving them vulnerable to cycles of poverty and poor health outcomes.
At the community level, weak health promotion systems, limited awareness on preventive practices, and scarce resources continue to expose families to avoidable illnesses, malnutrition, and unsafe hygiene conditions. These challenges not only compromise the quality of life of individuals and families but also slow down social and economic development.
Safe Hands Association exists to address these pressing health gaps by promoting maternal and child health, strengthening adolescent sexual and reproductive health education, and advancing community health promotion. With the right support, we can create healthier communities, empower adolescents to make informed choices, and ensure mothers and children thrive in safe, supportive environments.
