About Safe Hands Association
Safe Hands Association is a community health and development organization dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, particularly those living in underserved and hard-to-reach areas. We work to address the social, economic, and environmental factors that influence health and development outcomes, recognizing that sustainable change requires a holistic and people-centered approach.
While our work encompasses multiple development sectors, Safe Hands Association has specialized expertise in maternal, newborn, child, and reproductive health. We are committed to ensuring that women, adolescents, newborns, and children have access to quality health information, essential services, and supportive care throughout the life course. Our programs focus on preconception care, antenatal care, safe motherhood, newborn and child health, menstrual health and hygiene, family planning, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and community-based interventions that promote healthy families and thriving communities.
Beyond our core health expertise, our interventions extend to community health promotion, gender-based violence prevention and response, women and youth empowerment, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education support, and humanitarian assistance. Through partnerships, community engagement, advocacy, and direct service delivery, we strive to create safer, healthier, and more resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Guided by our vision of being a premier purveyor of holistic care to humanity, we collaborate with communities, institutions, government agencies, and development partners to reduce health inequities, strengthen community resilience, and improve the quality of life of vulnerable populations.
